Pathiramanal is an upcoming Malayalam action film directed by M. Padmakumar starring Unni Mukundan and Jayasurya in the lead roles. The shooting locations are in Marayur and Alapuzha.

The story is about a private financer Eldho(Unni Mukundan), who lives in a hill station with his mother. His mother had become mentally challenged after she was raped by a police constable (Pradeep Rawat) during Eldho's childhood. His mother conceived from the rape and gave birth to a baby girl. Johnkutty (Jayasurya), Eldho's father is avenging his wife's death by going after the police constable and unfortunately dies.
After Eldho has grown up, he reaches Pathiramanal, a place in Kuttanad, in search of the constable to take revenge. There he meets Sara (remya nambeesan). He realizes that Sara is the daughter of the constable. The drama is what the film is about.

Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander is an upcoming Indian Malayalam gangster film directed by Perarasu. The film is produced by Ajmal Hassan and Byju Adithyan. It is sequel to 1990 Mammootty starrer blockbuster Samrajyam and Unni Mukundan will play the lead role of Jordan, the son of Alexander who was the protagonist in the prequel. The hero launch function was held in Dubai on 5th October 2012.Trisha will play the female lead making her debut in Malayalam. The filming is planned to be done in India, Australia & Dubai. It will be one of the most expensive films ever made in Malayalam. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by R. A. Shafeer and Ilaiyaraaja, with lyrics penned by Sarath Vayalar, while Shekar V. Joseph handled the cinematography.
